Is it possible that I could be getting this error because the API count has been exceeded? I've just installed digiTweet using the manifest and it is running, but it's giving me this error message when I try to log in. I have verified username/pass on the Twitter website so I know I'm not imagining things.

Just prior to this I had been running TweetDeck, so it IS possible that the API call count was exceeded.

To attract more users to digiTweet, I think it would be good to announce that you are using digiTweet. Ie:

DigiTweet looks like a great start - it's speedy and looks sharp.

One of the key features that I would like to see is to create a panel for keyword searches - it could replace one of the four boxes, or potentially it would be great to resize the area for six with a couple searches possible.

Shouldn't have to initiate a tweet to get a refresh. By the way, how do we/can we set a refresh rate?

I just downloaded Digitweet, but it is not accepting my Twitter Credentials. I noticed that others have reported this issue. Has there been any solution offered?

it shows the error like as following

"The tag 'VisualStateGroup' does not exist in XML namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"

it may be by silverlight reference file

could i download from the internet

I noticed that this issue has been submitted once, and has also been marked as solved. However, it is not solved for me..even after following all of the suggestions listed in the previous issue item. I downloaded the sources, changed strings to bools and bools to strings...and still it is not working. What is going on here?

i have the same problem related to login.
i changed the Following and Notifications properties from Booleans to Strings but some error occured

Error 32 Operator '==' cannot be applied to operands of type 'string' and 'bool' C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\Source\DigiFlare.DigiTweet.UI\Window1.xaml.cs 773 17 DigiFlare.DigiTweet.UI

I trying to login in my office, but always I get message stating "Login failed, Pleas check your username and password". And later I tried running the code and I noticed that I can not connect through proxy server, I get Exception like "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required."
Hope It'll be corrected

I typed in my details, clicked login and got a "digiTweet has stopped working" message, I tried to click debug and get the attached message.

My machine is running Windows 7 64 bit build 7000. It has a quad core processor and 2gb of memory.

Snarl is a notification system similar to e. g. Growl on the Mac. You can find it at http://www.fullphat.net/

It provides a centralized system to show nice skinable and customizable notifications so the user can decide which notifications from which app he wants to see with which style, which display timeout or at all.

Find attached a patch which adds the following features to digitweet
- registers within Snarl with an alert class called "New tweet"
- uses Snarl to show notifications about new tweets
- unregisters when digitweet is closed
- (re)registers if Snarl is (re)started during digitweet execution time
- uses default notifications by digitweet if Snarl is not running (as before Snarl support has been added)

The attached patch has one issue as I don't know your code that well. I have hooked myself into TweetsManager_OperationCompleted but it looks like in this hook I get all tweets including those already read in prior digitweet session - how can I avoid to flood the user at startup so only real new tweets are shown...?

DigiFlare.DigiTweet.UI.Configuration.GetUserSetting returns null when email address is used for username, which causes ucLogin_LoginCompleted to throw an unhandled exception of Object reference not set to an instance of an object when setting the Window location

what sort of project is Blacklight.Controls? Its fails to open in my visual studio with a warning "unsupported project type".
Any ideas?

It is being used, it provides the UI for the app and the docking abilities.

That is a Silverlight project. If you install Silverlight 2 Tools for Visual Studio, it'll open the project. I'm not sure why it's in the source code, as it's not being used at all.
